Wanted criminal nabbed after 9 yrs

MENDHAR, July 22: The police nabbed a wanted criminal who was evading arrest for the last over nine years from Gursai area of Poonch today.
Official sources said that in continuation to the initiative launched by SSP Poonch, Ramesh Angral, Gursai Police under the supervision of SDPO Mendhar, Neeraj Padyar depute a special team headed by SHO Gursai Kamal Singh to nab the persons absconding in various criminal cases.
Today, during wee hours police party from Gursai headed by SHO raided a location and apprehended one absconder, who was evading their arrest since 2011. Another one was also nabbed who was at large since 2018.
They were identified as Liyaqat Hussain, son of Talib Hussain, from Naka Manjhari, wanted in case FIR No 35/2011 u/s 325,147,323 RPC of Police Station Gursai and Ghulam Din, son of Lala, resident of Bhatadurian, wanted in  case FIR No. 69/2018 u/s 447, 506 RPC of Police Station, Gursai. Both apprehended accused after completion of all the legal formalities, were produced before the court.
