Naaz conducts review meeting of State Advisory Board

JAMMU, Apr 16: Meeting of State Advisory Board for the Development of Gujjar Bakerwal was held under the chairmanship of Vice Chairman State Advisory Board for the Development of Gujjar Bakerwal Choudhary Bashir Naaz.
Members of State Advisory Board of Jammu Province, Secretary State Advisory Board for the Development of Gujjar Bakerwal, Additional Secretary School Education Department, Director Tribal Affairs, Joint Director Planning Social Welfare Div. Manager SC/ST/OBC Dev. Corporation, Jt. Director Planning Housing Department, Chief Education Officers of Jammu Province and all Wardens of Gujjar Bakerwal Hostels of Jammu Province participated in the meeting.
In the meeting progress achieved by the State Advisory Board was briefed to the Board Members. They were apprised that Government has sanctioned three Girls Hostels at Poonch, Rajouri and Kulgam, three Boys Hostels at Samba, Chatroo (Kishtwar) and Bandipora and one PG Hostel at Jammu for Gujjar and Bakerwal community.
Members unanimously raised the issue relating to the release of funds and their utilization. Release of funds for pre-matric scholarship and their disbursement was also discussed in detail.
Members were assured that their view points have been noted and necessary action will be taken for their consideration/ implementation at the earliest.
Mr. Naaz said that the Coalition Government is committed to the socio-economic development of all the down trodden people including the Gujjar Bakerwal community and all out efforts are being made for their all round development.
