JAMMU, July 23: A deputation of School Education Officers (Headmasters cadre) Association called on Director School Education Jammu, who is head of the Government Committee, constituted vide order number 157, dated 09-07-2020, to examine service matters of School Education Department at plus 2 level.
The deputation, headed by Roop Lal, said that there is another hierarchy of employees, in which Headmasters fall, who have been ignored by not including them for their examination of service matters and redressal of long pending issues.
The Association submitted a memorandum highlighting the demands, such as restoration of non-vacation status to the Headmasters, regularization of Incharge Headmasters, removal of pay anomaly, change of nomenclature, continuing of 20 percent quota for the promotion of ZEOs as Principals, restoration of ZEOs charge to Headmasters in case of vacancy and time bound promotion in favour of Headmasters.
The Director assured to take up their demands before the higher authorities for consideration of the same.
Later, the Association members also called on Joint Director Shoukat and apprised him of their issues with the plea that Headmaster cadre is one of the oldest gazette cadre and back bone of the basic education system in Jammu and Kashmir.
The deputation comprised of Subash Chander, Chander Mohan, Mohan Singh, Rakesh Chander, Abdul Wahid and Harjeet Singh.
