Tapyal villagers demand Veterinary dispensary

Excelsior Correspondent
SAMBA, July 25: The residents of village Gujran Jattain of Tapyal Panchayat in Ghagwal have urged upon the State Government to sanction a Veterinary Dispensary at the village.
The residents of the area through a local social activist, Sham Jasrotia projected before the Government of UT of Jammu and Kashmir that this village Gurah Jattain in Block Ghagwal situated upward of National Highway-44 wherein, a few dairy businesses are going with the Government initiatives.
This area is desperate for a Veterinary dispensary, if a Veterinary hospital is not possible, because interalia other robust schemes/guidelines as recently introduced by the Government, the treatment/medical facilities to the sick/ailing/injured animals should be of equal importance.
Though it is a matter of great satisfaction that the Government is taking keen interest in dairy farming which can be vindicated by slew of initiatives took during the last couple of months such as Dairy Development Policy 2020-21, certain guidelines issued recently for incentives to the dairy farmers etc, yet when it comes to medical facilities to the cattle of the farmers perhaps this would be one of the main aspects being left out and given least priority by the successive Governments.
However, the able administration under Principal Secretary to Government, Sheep/ Animal Husbandry Department, Government of UT of Jammu and Kashmir, Navin K Choudhary, who is also known for his promptitude decisiveness in taking decisions, a ray of hope has emerged for all those farmers of this village engaged in dairy farming who went from pillar to post to sanction a dispensary in this village of Gurah Jattain in Samba.
Every household keeps milching cattle but unfortunately for treatment of their ailing cattle/animals is not an easy task for them because they have be cross a National Highway, a Canal and a Railway line to reach to the nearest the Veterinary dispensary situated at village Harsath and by doing so these dairy farmers many times jeopardy not only the lives of their cattle but themselves too, Jasrotia added.
