JAMMU, July 26: Samba police on the directives of SSP, Shakti Pathak today provided relief to a poor lady in village Sadral of Utterbehni in Samba district whose Kulla was recently damaged by heavy rains and the family was brought on foot path.
Taking the cognizance of Excelsior story published in today’s Edition of the Newspaper, the SSP Samba issued immediate directives to concerned police officers who rushed to the village and provided relief to poor woman whose son is also differently abled and the family has no source of income.
The police provided her ration etc for sustenance. The people of the area had raised the issue and demanded compensation for the poor family. With Samba police taking quick action in the matter the local residents complimented the SSP Samba and other police officers for this good will gesture. However, they urged the Government to provide the benefit of Centrally sponsored welfare schemes to the poor family for its survival.
