The assertion of the Chief Minister for opening of the Fire Stations on merit in Legislative Assembly on 01.04.2013 needs some introspection on facts. Presently districts with number of Fire Stations: Bhandipora-7, Pulwama-9, Shopian-4, Reasi-5, Poonch-4, Samba-3 are without any Command/District Officers. The AD Offices of Bandipora and Pulwama which were functioning few days ago have now been closed. Instead, the Department is going just contrary to what Chief Minister said by opening Command AD office at Kishtwar for just only one station.
The day Finance Minister was stressing for strict implementation of Government Transfer Policy, same evning the Department issued transfer orders in total violation of the Government Transfer Policy.
