500 challaned for not adhering to SOPs, 2 fair price shops sealed

BHADERWAH, July 28: Taking tough stance against the lockdown violators and those who are not adhering to the COVID-19 SOPs, District Magistrate Doda Dr Sagar Dattaray Doifode has challaned 500 people for not wearing face masks and also sealed two Government fair price shops in Bhaderwah town besides lodging FIR against those who misbehaved with the officials on duty.
DC Dr Sagar Dattaray Doifode visited various areas and markets of the Additional District Bhaderwah to take first hand appraisal of enforcement of lockdown and implementation of COVID-19 SOPs and guidelines.
On the occasion, people who were found violating the SOPs and guidelines were fined on the spot and were counseled for negligence to prevent transmission of virus.
Some chemists and other shopkeepers dealing with supply of essential commodities were also fined for violation of SOPs.
Dr Sagar also reviewed the lockdown situation in Additional District Bhaderwah in view of coming Eid festival with the local administration including ADC Rakesh Kumar, SDPO Aadil Rishu, BMO Dr Hamid Zargar and other line officers.
During his surprise visit of the town and its peripheral areas, DDC challaned and imposed fine on 500 violators for not wearing face mask, not maintaining the required social distancing and disobeying lockdown orders.
He also sealed two Government ration depots near old hospital and Pasri Bus Stand beside FIR was registered against some villagers of Dalain, who misbehaved and stopped officials from performing their COVID-19 duties.
