J&K Sculptor conferred International Award

JAMMU, July 28: In an online international art exhibition on the topic COVID-19 organized by Indian Royal Academy of Art and Culture, Karnataka, veteran Sculptor of J&K, Ganesh Kumar Sharma has been conferred ‘Best Entry International Award’ for his sculpture titled ‘COVID-19’.
A handout stated that Sharma made the sculpture of size 6*4*3 feet from Sheesham wood and stone during the lockdown period and it has been selected for the prestigious award.
Over 800 entries were received for the exhibition from more than 13 countries of the world like India, Italy, Bangladesh, Egypt, United States of America, Turkey etc and Ganesh Kumar Sharma was the only sculptor from J&K whose work was selected for the International Award.
The handout further stated that presently Ganesh Kumar is working as freelance artist attached with numerous art organizations of the world and he is working in the field of art for about 40 years doing regular work in different mediums like wood, stone, metal scrap etc.
