Mehak Dramatic Club releases COVID prayers, presents awards

SRINAGAR, July 31: A Kashmiri dua ‘Khudayaa Raham Kaar’ produced by the Mehak Dramatic Club, for pandemic Covid-19 was released today at the Auditorium of Cultural Academy here.
The dua has been written by Gulfam Barji, a well-known writer of Kashmir valley-and was recited by the famous singer of Kashmir valley Altaf Sahil from Sopore. The production has been directed by Arshad Nawshari
In the said dua, the writer has written about the causes has resulted in the hardships to humanity in the shape of COVID-19.
The dua has a mentioned about the pandemic as well as the sins that the people have committed and have asked people to revert back to the Almighty.
Dua was released here during a ceremony by Ayash Arif, renowned actor and freelance director, producer, Mohammad Ashraf Tak, Chief Editor of Cultural Academy in presence of MDC President Farhat Sideequi.
During the ceremony, the awards were given to person who played their role in the fight against Covid-19. The awards were presented to Gulfam Bariji, Arshid Nawsheri, Altaf Sahil, Jameel Ansari, Ajaz Ahmad, Javed Ahmad Dar of Daily Excelsior, Arshad Bhat of DD NEWS, Sanam Tasaduq of NEWS 18 URDU, Shuja Baqal of 4TV, Firdous Najar GULISTAN NEWS, RJ Umar Wani of 92.7 BIG FM, Mohammad Lateef of KNS, Yasrab Khan ANN News.
