JAMMU, July 31: Narwal police arrested a vehicle lifter and recovered stolen motorcycle from his possession.
As per police sources, a bike theft case under FIR Number 184/2020 under Section 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Bahu Fort on July 24 this year, in which a Pulsar motorcycle bearing Registration Number JK02BW-8069 was reported to be stolen.
During the course of investigation, a team from Narwal Police Post SI Vikas Jasrotia along with ASI Sakhi Mohammad under the supervision of SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Deepak Pathania and SDPO East Bikram Kumar rounded up several suspects and finally nabbed the thief along with stolen motorcycle.
The arrested thief has been identified as Dillawar Hussain, son of Abdul Rahim of Village Tanda Jagti, Tehsil Nagrota, District Jammu.
During further investigation, the accused confessed his involvement in the theft of two other bikes.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
