JAMMU, Apr 17: The Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) today approved promotions of 17 Head Constables as Assistant Sub Inspectors (ASIs), eight ASIs as Sub Inspectors and in-situ promotion to 18 officers in Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police.
The DPC that met under the chairmanship of Additional DGP Armed SM Sahai cleared the promotions.
Mr Sahai assured the officials that he would convene DPC meetings for timely promotions in Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police as and when the vacancies are available.
He said that grade placements for next higher grades of Followers of J&K Armed Police are in queue.
He hoped that the officials would work with devotion and dedication.
