JAMMU, Aug 1: Government Degree College, Nowshera celebrated 140th birth anniversary of Munshi Premchand by organising an online national level quiz competition.
About 75 students of different colleges and universities across the country participated.
First position was shared by Riya Gupta of GDC Nowshera, Nishma Jamwal, Pooja Jamwal and Priya Devi of GDC RS Pura, Anoo Radha of Sant Baba Bhaag Singh University (Punjab), Rohit Sharma of University of Jammu, Harpreet Kour of GCW Gandhi Nagar, Taniya Sumbodia of GCW Parade, Suhana of GDC Katra, Nandini Thakur of SVS Women College, Rajouri and Rachna Sharma of GCW Parade, whereas 2nd position was shared by Imitiaz Malik of GDC Mishriwalla, Zubair Ahmed of GDC Kilam, Rishu Kumari of GDC RS Pura and Pooja of GCW Gandhi Nagar and 3rd position was scored by Sangeeta Devi of GDC Nowshera.
All the toppers were awarded with certificate of excellence. The event was organized by Dr Bandana Thakur, HoD Hindi under the supervision of College Principal, Dr Surinder Kumar.
