Implementation of Mandal Commission report demanded

JAMMU, Aug 2: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) has urged upon the Central Government to implement Mandal Commission Report on OBC reservation in the Union Territory of J&K at the earliest.
Remembering 5th of August 2019, the day when the bill for the abrogation of Art 370 and 35-A was being passed in the Rajya Sabha, Kali Dass, general secretary of the Union said that in the same bill the reservation of OBCs was being blocked by inducting serial number 07 on page 42 of the same bill which speaks that Reservation Act of 2004 made by Congress, NC and PDP has been protected.
“With the big claim of abrogation of Art 370, a series of false propagandas started from Prime Minister to the lower rung BJP leaders that 27% quota has been granted to the J&K OBCs under the principle One Nation And One Law. But when AIBCU gave a rebuffing reply over the false propaganda, all the Minsters and BJP leaders spreading false propaganda went to their hibernations and till date never made any statement over OBC’s reservation,” Kali Dass said in a statement.
Stating that the new reservation policy issued by the Govt of J&K proved only a conspiracy for keeping up the supremacy of the general category people with 15% population over the reserved category people with 85% population, the AIBCU leader said that the reservation must be restricted to 15% for general category (upper castes) in proportion to their population instead of 78%.
He along with other union leaders appealed the J&K OBCs to observe 5th of August as the BLACK DAY every year till the implementation of Mandal Report in the UT. He urged all OBCs to wear black badges on this day.
