SRINAGAR, Aug 2: Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu has extended his heartiest greetings to the people of J&K on the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan.
In his message of greetings, the Lt Governor observed that Raksha Bandhan is a festival symbolic of love and respect between brothers and sisters which defines the unique feature of India’s cultural ethos.
He has hoped that the festival would strengthen the bonds of communal harmony, peace and amity amongst all in the society.
The Lt Governor appealed to the people of the UT to follow all the SOPs issued by the Administration in view of the prevailing situation.
He prayed for peace and development in J&K and well-being of its people.
