JAMMU, Aug 3: A meeting of Sangram Sena was held here today under the chairmanship of R.K Raina, Sangram Sena president.
Speakers in the meeting discussed that private nursing homes in Jammu are charging exorbitant from poor masses on one pretext or the other.
Speaking in the meeting R.K Raina said, Health and Medical Education Department should act strictly against this over charging from poor masses by the private nursing homes.
He cited the case of a leading nursing home which allegedly put a dead body on ventilator to extract money from relatives of the deceased.
“When this was brought into the notice of authorities nothing was done,” Raina claimed.
He urged upon the Lieutenant Governor of J&K to intervene into the matter so that wrong doings by such nursing homes may be stopped.
Those who attended the meeting were Rampal Sharma, President Hindi Raksha Samiti; Capt. Rattan Singh Langeh, General Secretary Samgram Sena; Ram Paul Sharma, President Hindu Raksha Samiti; Kapil Sharma, President Dogra Liberation Front and others.
