ABVP demands high level probe against CUJ VC

JAMMU, Aug 3: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad Jammu Kashmir has demanded an enquiry against Vice-Chancellor of Central University Jammu, who has allegedly committed multiple financial and administrative irregularities for amassing illegal money through corrupt practices.
In a statement, ABVP J&K State Secretary Mukesh Manhas said that there are many allegations against CUJ Vice-Chancellor who is building an illegal mansion of worth crores of rupees on 36 marlas of Khad land without seeking any permission at Sainik Colony.
He also pointed towards alleged changing of the roster of teaching positions and swapping reserved SC, ST and OBC positions with Un-Reserved for personal interests. “For some people, CUJ has become a source of corruption where all the norms and standard operating procedures have been thrown to the dustbin,” he added.
The ABVP leader demanded that the Government should order a high level probe to unearth the scandals and corruption charges against CUJ VC for ensuring that institutions of higher education may not suffer because of corrupt people.
