Residents of Ward 10 Vijaypur resent admn’s callousness

SAMBA, Aug 5: The residents of Ward No 10, Vijaypuyr adjacent Ramgarh road in Samba district have expressed their ire against the administration for neglecting them during last 22 days after the area was declared as Red Zone when a person in the Ward who had come from Leh and three more members of his family including his mother father and brother were declared Corona Positive.
Vijay Gupta a local resident and social activist said that after isolating the Ward by the administration by placing barbed wire in the lanes the people were forced to remain indoors. Gupta said that the tests were conducted to other people in the locality including his family but all were found negative. He said for last 22 days the people were indoors and the administration did not bother to provide any succor to them.
Some people in the locality especially those working as daily wagers in factories or other places could not go outside to earn their living. Even some of them do not have food to eat but the administration did not bother to look into their problems or supply ration and other essentials to the area.
Resenting the callousness of the administration in the area Gupta said this way the people in the ward were left at the mercy of God for last 22 days.
Neither the administration nor any social organization bothered to look into the problems of the people in the Ward which was isolated from rest of the town while showing his total resentment about the style of the functioning of the administration.
