JAMMU, Aug 7: All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organisations here today celebrated OBC Day by organising a webinar on ‘Mandal Commission Report and Rights of OBCs’.
The event was chaired by R.K Kalsotra, J&K president of the Confederation.
Speaking on the occasion Kalsotra said on this day Mandal Commission Report was implemented by the Government and 27 per cent reservation was provided to OBCs.
A new wing of OBCs for J&K was launched by the Confederation on this occasion.
Kalsotra said that this new wing will dedicatedly work for reservation and will also act as grievance redressal platform for OBCs in J&K.
The webinar was attended by S. Lakhvir Singh, Majid Qureshi, Madan Lal Mistry and others.
