JAMMU, Aug 8: A child was hit and severely injured by a car in Kaluchak area of city outskirts.
“A Wagon-R car bearing registration number JK02CM-3125, which was being rashly driven by an unknown driver from Bari Brahmana towards Kunjwani, hit a child near Army Gate, Kaluchak when he was crossing the road,” a police official said.
He said in the mishap, the child namely Vishal Kumar (8) son of Jagdish Lal, resident of Kaluchak, received severe injuries and was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu by the flying squad of police station Gangyal, for medical treatment.
“In this regard, a case bearing FIR Number 93/2020 U/S 279/337/IPC has been registered at police station Gangyal and efforts were on to identify and arrest the driver of the car involved in the accident,” he added.
