Winners being awarded trophies during valedictory function of Management Fest at SMVDU on Thursday.

JAMMU, Apr 18: Two-day Management Fest TATVA 2013 at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) concluded today.
On the occasion of valedictory function, mementos and certificates were distributed among the students of various colleges who actively participated in the event.
The overall trophy was bagged by Islamic University of Science and Technology, Kashmir, which won a total of 11 prizes in various events. The students of Kathua Campus, University of Jammu and SMVD University, won 7 prizes in all followed by SPMR College which received 3 prizes. The other participant colleges were MBA-IB, University of Jammu and TBS, University of Jammu.
SMVDU, College of Management was winner in “Beat the Clock”, and “Market Situation and Reaction’ events. For “Theme Based Advertisement and Logo Pamphlet Designing”, SPMR College students bagged first prize. Jammu University Kathua campus was winner in “Stroke of Genius” while Islamic University of Science and Technology won prizes in “Future CEO”, “Journey to Glorious University”, “Corporate Stall”, “Amazing Trove”, “Mercury Ring” and “Welcome to Hell”.
Prof Mukhopadhyay, Dean COM expressed satisfaction over holding the event. He lauded the efforts of the students and faculty in hosting such an event which infused the creativity, spontaneity and many more countless learning among the participants.
The event was then followed by passing the lamp ceremony. The holy lamp was passed on to the new batch for carrying out the legacy and tradition of organising TATVA for future.
Dr Saurabh, coordinator of the event said that successful organisation of Tatva was evidence that the students in SMVDU have the ability to deliver efficiently from the very first day.
The valedictory was followed by a cultural evening.
