POONCH, Aug 9: A Xylo vehicle was set on fire by some miscreants in Salwah area of Mendhar Sub Division in district Poonch last night.
Official sources said that Xylo vehicle No. JK 03C- 8511, belonging to Waseem Ahmed Khan, son of Farooq Ahmed Khan, residence of Salwah Lower, suddenly caught fire under mysterious circumstances at Salwah village, about 11 kms away from Mendhar last night. After getting information, Police team rushed to the spot. The car had completely damaged before the police arrived there.
Owner of the vehicle, Wasim alleged that some people have burnt my vehicle. ” I had parked my vehicle at a rented shed. The vehicle was removed from there and then set on fire.”
SDPO Mendhar, Neeraj Padyar, when contacted confirmed the incident and said that immediately after getting information, the police party reached to the spot and took stock of the incident. A case has FIR No. 181/2020 has been registered in Police Station Mendhar in this connection, he added.
