JKFCEF demands release of 4 months salaries

JAMMU, Aug 10: Suresh Sharma, spokesman Jammu Kashmir Forest Corporation Employees Forum (JKFCEF) while reiterating his demand for immediate release of four months pending pay ,reposed full faith in the administrative capabilities of new LG, Manoj Sinha and sought his immediate intervention in the problems faced by employees.
In a statement issued here, today he hoped that since LG is 98.989 % share holder in new Forest Development Corporation (FDC) and is also Chairman of erstwhile SFC, should intervene and order release of four months salary as the poor and hapless employees are discharging their duties in far flung areas of forests and are at the verge of starvation.
Sharma said they have been made to suffer socially due to psychological depression as they are unable to liquidate their dues in the market and banks. He wondered and failed to understand that in spite of orders issued by Chief Secretary to decide all employees’ issues before August 5, why the pay has not been released as yet. There seem to be some vested interests to delay release of pay on one pretext or the other thus forcing the starving employees to come on roads for their legitimate dues to tarnish the image of Government. The sinister designs of some vested interests, at some level who are perhaps creating a situation to defame the Government will not be allowed to be successful.
He appealed LG. to enquire such a long delay in release of salaries. Sharma also sought intervention of LG as at present employees are deprived of 39% less DA, 7th p.c. benefits, 6p.c arrears. He pinned high hopes in LG for immediate release of grant in aid of 230 crore already sanctioned by Government of India and release pending pay without delay.
Besides, there is no DPC for the last two years, SRO 64 appointees grievance need to be looked into, he added. He enjoined that Roll Out Committee constituted should immediately meet and invite JKFCEF as stakeholder.
