JAMMU, Aug 10: A woman was found hanging today in Channi Himmat area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, the deceased was identified as Jiya Bharti (30) wife of Vikas Mehra, resident of Channi Himmat. He said the woman was found hanging early morning in her house by her husband, who is a Government employee in Health and Medical Education Department.
“The body of the deceased was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for postmortem while inquest proceeding under 174 CrPC was initiated in this connection at police station Channi Himmat,” the official added.
