JAMMU, Aug 11: Administrator, GMC & Associated Hospitals Jammu, Amit Sharma today made a surprise visit to Government SMGS Hospital during which he laid thrust on provisioning of multi-level parking facility in the Hospital premises.
Sharma while interacting with Deputy Medical Superintendent of the Hospital said that the multi-level parking facility inside this huge complex of the Hospital can cater to long-time looming crisis of parking and vehicle management inside SMGS Complex.
He directed the Hospital Administration to get a DPR made in this behalf and submit the same so that proper multi-level parking facility on modern lines can come-up in SMGS Complex at the earliest on PPP mode. While taking a round of existing parking areas, Sharma pointed out that it will not only help inside visitors but even the public in nearby areas who struggle to park their vehicles in the vicinity which is happening here in a haphazard manner as on date.
The Administrator, while taking a round of the Hospital Complex, checked the cleanliness in different wards, corridors and theatres along with strict adherence to prescribed protocols. He also shared his vision towards improvement of infrastructure in this oldest Heritage Hospital Complex of Jammu division.
Sharma also directed Hospital Authorities to complete the repair works inside ENT Wards at the earliest which are pending since long. He also directed for immediate removal of all dead stock items heaped outside ENT Wards on 1st floor so that proper hygienic conditions prevail in this all-important Hospital of Jammu.
He also visited Pediatrics Wards wherein senior faculty member Dr Ashu Jamwal requested for provisioning more human resources for physically deficient newly born neo-natal kids.
Amit Sharma also met Matron of SMGS Hospital and her team and advised them to show special zeal and zest in handling nursing work here while taking all precautions and guiding patients for same during ongoing Corona times.
