JAMMU, Aug 14: Justice (Retd) Muzaffar Attar has been selected as Chairman of the Fees Fixation Committee for Private Schools in Jammu Kashmir Union Territory.
The selection was made by Chief Justice of J&K, Gita Mittal following request of the School Education Department to the Law Department for nominating a retired justice as Chairman of the Fees Fixation Commission.
A formal order for appointment of Justice (Retd) Muzaffar Attar as Chairman of the Fees Fixation Committee is likely to be issued on Monday by the School Education Department.
The post was lying vacant for the last more than an year since completion of the extended tenure of Justice (Retd) Imtiaz Hussain as Chairman of the Fees Fixation Committee, which has been constituted on the direction of Supreme Court of India.
