JAMMU, Aug 14: Kanachack police arrested a man along with illicit liquor.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Kanachak Police Station led by ASI Rounak Singh laid a naka at Halqa and intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 48 quarters of illicit liquor from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Raj Kumar, son of Mela Ram of Kullay Tehsil Marh district Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 129/2020 under section 48-a Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Kanachack and investigation started.
The arrest was made under the supervision of SHO Kanachack Inspector Ravi Parihar, SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul and SP Rural Suram Singh.
