*421 test +ve, J&K tally crosses 27000

SRINAGAR, Aug 14: Eleven people died of COVID-19 in Kashmir today taking the Jammu and Kashmir death toll to 520 while 421 people tested positive in the Valley taking the J&K Coronavirus cases beyond 27,000.
A 70 year old man from Pampore area of Pulwama district was admitted to SMHS hospital Srinagar on August 6 and he died today.
A 65 year old man from Batamaloo area of Srinagar was admitted to the SMHS hospital in Srinagar on Aug 4 with bilateral pneumonia. He tested positive for COVID and died today.
A 55 year old woman from Kathidarwaza area of Srinagar who was admitted to SKIMS Soura on August 9 died today.
An 85 year old man from Sopore area of Baramulla who was admitted to SKIMS Soura hospital on July 27 died today.
A 70 year old man from Pattan area of Baramulla district who was admitted to SMHS hospital in Sriangar on Aug 8 with bilateral pneumonia died today.
With these fresh 11 deaths, the Jammu and Kashmir death toll reached to 520 with 481 in Kashmir and 39 in Jammu division.
Kashmir today recorded 421 fresh Coronavirus cases taking the number of positive cases in J&K to 27,489 including 21,320 from Kashmir and 6,169 from Jammu division.
Those who tested positive in Kashmir include 108 from Srinagar, 47 Baramulla, 31 Pulwama, 12 Kulgam, 8 Shopian, 31 Anantnag, 37 Budgam, 65 Kupwara, 50 Bandipora and 32 from Ganderbal in Kashmir division.
There have been 15,427 recoveries in Kashmir and 4,515 in Jammu division. The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 7,027 including 5,412 from Kashmir division and 1,615 from Jammu division. With 640 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 19,942 which is 72.54 percent of the total cases.
Srinagar district alone has 6,680 positive cases which is more than the total number of positive cases in Jammu division where total cases are 6,169.
As per officials figures, 6,680 positive cases including 169 deaths and 4,633 recoveries are from Srinagar, 2,351 including 86 deaths and 1,694 recoveries are from Baramulla, 2,016 including 1,401 recoveries and 35 deaths are from Pulwama,1,688 including 1,461 recoveries and 31 deaths are from Kulgam, 1,553 including 24 deaths and 1,448 recoveries are from Shopian, 1,709 including 37 deaths and 1,331 recoveries are from Anantnag, 1,677 including 1,714 recoveries and 38 deaths are from Budgam, 1,459 including 1,094 recoveries and 32 deaths are from Kupwara, 1,301 including 722 recoveries and 18 deaths are from Bandipora and 849 including 458 recoveries and 11 deaths are from Ganderbal.
