Nine-day long Navratra festival culminates with Kanya Poojan, immersion of Saakh

Devotees immersing Saakh in river Tawi on the conclusion of nine day long Navratra festival on Friday.	—Excelsior/RakeshJAMMU, Apr 19: The nine day long Navratra festival culminated today with Kanya Poojan and immersion of Saakh in various rivers and canals across the Jammu region.
There was heavy rush of the devotees on the banks of river Tawi at Bikram Chowk and at Harkipori, bank of Ranbir canal and river Chenab from early in the morning for immersion of Saakh.
A large number of devotees started reaching river Tawi, Ranbir canal, banks of river Chenab and other rivers across the Jammu region from early in the morning for immersion of Saakh which was sown on the first day of Navratra after performing the Pooja Archana as per dharmik rituals.
With this the nine day long Navratra festival culminated. In connection with culmination of Navratra festival bhandaras and hawans were also performed at every Mohalla across the region and Pooja Archana was performed.
The 122 Bn BSF celebrated the festival of Navratra and Ramnavmi with fervour and gaiety in the temple located in Bn Headquarter Paloura. The festival was celebrated by observing all the rituals. Manish Aul, Commandant of the Unit conveyed his best wishes to all officers, subordinate officers, jawans and their families and prayed for their bright future. All the officers and jawans participated in the special prayers held on the occasion.
On the occasion of culmination of Navratra festival and Ramnavmi a bhandara was organised by Ram Sena at Vridh Ashram, Jammu. The function was organised under the chairmanship of Ram Sena president Rajiv Mahajan. Speaking on the occasion he urged the people to come forward in helping the destitutes and people abandoned by their families.
On the occasion of the Ramnavmi that coincides with conclusion of nine day long Navratra festival also thousands of devotees performed darshan at Chechi Mata Mandir Samba. The devotees drawn from different parts of  Jammu region were waiting in long queues from early in the morning for darshan and the rush continued late in the evening.
The devotees also immersed Saakh in the nearby river on the occasion.
The nine day long spiritual function also concluded at Bhagavaan Gopinathji Ashram Udaywala Bohri. The function was organized by Bhagavaan Gopinathji Trust. The function started from April 11 and culminated today with solemnization of Hawan in which a large number of devotees participated. They were served with prashad after Puranahuti. During the nine day long function over one crore mantras were recited in the Ashram.
The nine- day long Navratra function also culminated at Gokal Dham Ambika Vihar Gole Gujral with solemnization of Maha Yagya. The Hawan started yesterday evening and Puranahuti was performed this afternoon. Swami Gokal Nath Ji and Guru Mata Sheela Ji threw light on the religious significance of nine days of Navratra during the religious discourses daily.
The social functions were also organised in the Ashram and various competitions for the children were organised. Besides the children from down trodden classes were also given uniforms, stationery items etc.
The nine day long Durga Pooja culminated at Sharika Peeth Sanstha, Subash Nagar with organizing of Maha Yagya today. The function was organised under the chairmanship of M K Jalali president of the Sanstha. A large number of devotees thronged the Sanstha to participate in the function. On the occasion special prayers were held for the prosperity of nation and community members.
Special pooja was performed by Jagat Amba Sharika Chakreshwar Sanstha Hari Parbat, Devi Angan, Doke Paloura, Jammu on the eve of Durga Ashtami. A large number of devotees attended the function to seek blessings of Goddess.  The function was also held in the Sanstha on the occasion of Ramnavmi today in which large number of devotees participated.
Navratra was celebrated with traditional religious fervour and gaiety at Chinore, Jammu/ Najafgarh Delhi Ashram also. Immersion of Saakh of Nav Durga was also performed by Ashram inmates.
A Satsang and Bhajan Kirtan was also held in the Ashram premises by the devotees.
Ramnavmi and Janam Utsav of Sai Baba was celebrated by Kashmiri Sahayak Samiti Trikuta Nagar. During the nine days of Navratra Bhajan, Kirtan and Pooja was held.
Large number of devotees and Biradari members participated in the function.
On the occasion reprinted edition of the collection of the Shirdi Sai Babas Artis being sung at different times during the day by Lokesh Ganju president of the Samiti were released.
On the occasion of Ramnavmi a hawan was performed at Baramulla by Sanatam Dharam Sabha.
