Brahman Sabha hails Govt decision of announcing holiday on Parshuram Jayanti

Jammu, April 19: Senior members of Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha have expressed gratitude  to the coalition government for conceding their persistence demand to declare holiday on Bhagwan Parshuram Jayanti, which falls this year on 12th  May.
In a specially convened meeting here today the senior community members lauded the role of the leaders of  all political and social organizations who struggled hard for convincing the authorities to declare Shri Bhagwan Parshu Ram Jayanti as holiday, for Brahmans and other Hindu community members celebrating the jayanti in a befitting manner. It particularly appreciated the role of Dehati Brahman Sabha, whose delegation led by its President Om Prakash Sharma had  recently called on the Chief Minister and strongly pleaded for holiday on Parshu Ram Jayanti. The meeting observed that Bhagwan Parshu Ram is revered not only by the Brahmans but by all the Hindus in the country.
