DODA, Aug 20: Forest Department has stopped the construction work of a petrol pump at Thathri.
As per reports, on specific information about construction of petrol pump illegally on forest land at Thathri by Mohammad Ramzan, son of Mohammad Sabar of Tipri Tehsil Thathri and Akhtar Hussain, son of Nazeer Ahmad of Chabba Tehsil Kahara, a team from Forest Department led by Range Officer Control Room Bhaderwah Iftikhar Bhatti rushed to the spot and stopped the construction work.
The team seized the tools and shuttering material from the spot.
Forest Department has also registered a case under Forest Conservation Act and Section 26 of Indian Forest Act 1927.
The operation was carried out on the directions of DFO Bhaderwah Chander Sheikar and CF Chenab Satpal Pakru.
