NGPPWF deputation meets SSP

JAMMU, Aug 20: A deputation of Non-Gazetted Police Pensioners Welfare Forum (NGPPWF) led by its chairman Ajit Singh met SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil.
While speaking, Singh said that according to PHQ circular, claims relating to financial assistance to the deserving retirees, who are in distress or suffering from chronic diseases be recommended to PHQ as per J&K Retired Pensioner Welfare Fund rules.
“The field verification reports desired in various relief claims of retired policemen should be expedited to PHQ within a week time. But it is observed that the cases are not visited even after 2 to 3 months because of this, many retirees who are struggling with chronic diseases get upset. Moreover, some of them have even expire”, Singh added.
He requested that such cases be visited at least in a week time, so that retirees get the benefit of the welfare and recover at the earliest.
SSP Jammu gave patient hearing and assured the delegation that he will pass necessary direction of SHOs of Jammu district in this regard.
Among others present were Ravinder Sharma, Ganpat, Hindpal, Parlhad Singh and Kuldeep Singh.
