SAMBA, Aug 20: A scooty rider died in a road mishap, after the two -wheeler he was driving collided with a truck at Sarore Adda area of Bari Brahmana in district Samba today.
According to the police, the mishap occurred at Jammu -Pathankot National Highway at Sarore Adda area of Bari Brahmana, when a scooty bearing Registration Number JK11B 2306 was coming from Natral side on reaching near Sarore Adda suddenly collided with a truck bearing Registration Number JK13F – 3191. As a result the scooty rider got critically injured and died on the spot.
Some people of the area informed the police regarding the incident. After getting the information police party of Bari Brahmana Police Station reached on the spot and took the body into their custody and shifted to the mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for autopsy.
The deceased has been identified as Vinod Kumar Head Constable who was posted in IRP 17 Battalion.
In this regard Police has taken cognizance of the matter and started further investigations.
