DCC members, former Judge join JKAP

JAMMU, Aug 21: The entire District Congress Committee unit of Kishtwar under the leadership Mohinder Singh Parihar and retired Principal District Sessions Judge, Ashok Shan among others today joined Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) at Gandhi Nagar here today.
In a statement to the press, the JKAP spokesperson of the party said that they had organised an impressive function at party’s headquarters to welcome the entire District Congress Committee, Kishtwar, Youth Congress leaders, National Students Union of India (NSUI) prominent persons of District Congress Committee, who joined the J&K Apni Party.
The joining was facilitated by the Ex-MLC and senior leader of J&K Apni Party from Kishtwar, Syed Asgar Ali.
The JKAP senior leaders welcomed JKAP Ex-District Congress Committee (DCC), president, Kishtwar, Mohinder Singh Parihar, JKPCC, Executive Member, Mohammed Aslam Malik, Block Congress Committee, president, Trigam, Kishtwar, Master Ghulam Mohammed Ganaie, DCC vice president, Abdul Latief Choubdar, Minority Cell District president, Kishtwar, Nazir Ahmed Sheikh, NSUI District president, Umar Mingno,
General secretary NSUI, Kishtwar, Arshad Wani, Block Congress Committee (BCC) vice president, Marwah, Mohammed Abdullah, District Congress Committee, Daligate, Mohammed Skinder, general secretary, PPU, Ayaiz Ahmed Zargar, secretary, Youth Congress, Umair Mushtaq, retired District and Session, Judge, Ashok Shan, Jagdesh Raj Rana, retired DySP Ghulam Mohammed, Ghulam Nabi Waza and others in the party folds.
They were welcomed into the party fold by the JKAP’s senior leaders including former minister Mohammed Dilawar Mir, former Minister Aijaz Ahmed Khan, former minister Manjit Singh, Ex-MLA Kamal Arora, Ex-MLC Vijay Bakaya, Ex-MLC Syed Asgar Ali, senior leaders Vikram Malhotra, Namrata Sharma, Raqeeq Ahmed Khan, Abhay Bakaya, Ajaz Kazmi, Shanker Singh Chib, Nirmal Kotwal, Madan Lal Chalotra, Sohan Singh, Bodh Raj Bhagat, Gourav Kapoor, Vaibhav Mattoo and others.
Speaking on the occasion, Dilawar Mir said that the people are joining JKAP because of the pragmatic and positive political approach in the party’s on various issues confronted by the people in Jammu and Kashmir. Raising his serious concern over attempts to further promote division of J&K regions, Mir questioned a political party for its failure to take up statehood issues before the Government.
“National Conference leaders have been reviving demand for separate Statehood for Jammu region which reveals their political motive to further widen division in Jammu and Kashmir regions,” Mir said expressing his concern over the “divisive politics.”
