JAMMU, Aug 21: A man allegedly committed suicide by consuming some insecticides in Bishnah area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, Ram Krishan (55) son of Munshi Ram, resident of Chak Qima (Bishnah), allegedly consumed some insecticides at his residence. “As his condition deteriorated, the family members shifted him to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he died during treatment,” he added.
The official said that the body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the Hospital and tomorrow after postmortem, it will be handed over to its legal heirs for last rites. He said inquest proceeding under Section 174 CrPC was initiated in this connection at police station Bishnah to ascertain reason of death.
