JAMMU, Aug 21: Mother-son duo have been arrested in abetment to suicide and dowry demand case.
As per police sources, a lady identified as Hema Bhagat, wife of Kuldeep was found hanging at her in-laws house at Amir Nagar Bishnah.
Inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC was initiated by Bishnah Police in this regard.
During the course of investigation, the inquest proceedings were converted into abetment to suicide and dowry demand case.
Police team arrested mother-in-law and husband of the deceased lady in the case, who were identified as Raj Kumari, wife of Hans Raj and Kuldeep. Anuradha, daughter of Hans Raj was yet to be arrested as her name also surfaced in the case.
A case under FIR Number 137/2020 under sections 306, 498-A and 34 IPC has been registered against Raj Kumari, his son Kuldeep and daughter Anuradha.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
