JAMMU, Aug 23: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today carried out demolition of an illegal structure raised at Deeli By-pass.

Jammu Municipal Corporation had rejected the application of building permission of the owner Shobha Devi owing to the reason that the land being gairmumkinkhad was not suitable for such construction activities.
The owner had however illegally raised some structures which had been earlier sealed by the Jammu Municipal Corporation.
Subsequently, demolition notices had been issued to the violator and the demolition was carried out today morning by pressing men and machinery.
Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation Avny Lavasa has appealed to all city dwellers to desist from any construction activities without seeking building permission which adversely affect city and spatial planning and civic laws.
