15 die of COVID in Kashmir, J&K toll 629

Srinagar, Aug 23: Fifteen people died of COVID-19 in Kashmir since last night taking the number of deaths in Jammu and Kashmir to 629 while 540 people from Valley tested positive for Coronavirus taking overall cases in J&K to past 32000.
A 16 year old girl from Devsar area of Kulgam district who was admitted to SKIMS on Aug 2 died today.
A 73 year old man from Sopore area of Baramulla district who was admitted to SKIMS on Aug 9 died today.
An 82 year old man from Nalabal area of Nowshera in Srinagar who was admitted to SKIMS on Aug 19 died last night.
A woman from Ganderbal district who was admitted to SKIMS yesterday died today. She had had tested positive for COVID-19.
A 70 year old woman from Wayil area of Ganderbal who was admitted to SKIMS on Aug 21 died today
A 70 year old man from Mukaam Baramulla who was admitted on Aug 15 with bilateral pneumonia died today.
A 65 year old man from Sangri Colony in district Baramulla who was admitted to Chest Diseases Hospital in Srinagar on Aug 18 died today.
A 55 year old woman from Rainawari area of Srinagar who was admitted to SKIMS on Aug 9 died today.
With 15 more deaths, the death toll in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 629 including 582 from Kashmir division.
And 540 people from Kashmir today tested positive for coronavirus taking the overall cases in J&K to 32647.
These include 258 cases from Srinagar, Baramulla 34, Pulwama 37, Budgam 40, Anantnag 47, Kulgam 27, Shopian 3, Kupwara 34, Bandipora 27 and Ganderbal 33.
The total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 7198 including 5,727 from Kashmir division.
So far 24832 people out of over 32000 cases have recovered including 19230 from Kashmir.
Moreover, 325 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals in Kashmir today.
