UDHAMPUR, Aug 24: Continuing JKP’s war against drugs, Udhampur police today seized 500 grams cannabis like substance from a narcotic smuggler at Chak, under the jurisdiction of Rehmbal Police Station.
Today during patrolling, police party of Police Station Rehmbal led by Virender Gupta apprehended one person
The accused, namely Mohd Hanief, son of Abdul Rashid of Chak , was apprehended by a Police party, led by SHO Rehmbal, Virender Gupta, under the supervision of DySP HQ Udhampur Rohit Chadgal and overall supervision of SP Rajinder Katoch.
During personal search of the accused, 20 challies (rolls) of cannabis weighing approximately half a Kg, which were wrapped in a maize cover, were recovered from his possession.
In this connection, FIR number 127/2020 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Rehmbal and investigation of case has been taken up.
