2 drivers injured as cars fall into gorge

RAMBAN, Aug 24: Two drivers were injured when the cars they were driving rolled down into gorge in the jurisdiction of Batote and Banihal Police Stations.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK17-3763 was on its from Kishtwar to Jammu, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it fell into gorge at Baggu Nallah near Ravi Dass temple on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and rescued the injured person.
The injured driver was rushed to CHC Batote, from where he was later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for advanced treatment.
The injured has been identified as Khalid Hussain (25), son of Ghulam Hussain, a resident of Ward Number 12, District Kishtwar.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Batote Police Station and investigation started.
Meanwhile, another driver identified as Mudasir Wani (28), son of Mohammad Iqbal Wani of Kaskoot Tehsil Banihal was injured when the car he driving rolled down into gorge near Chanjlou area on Banihal-Chanjlou link road.
He was rushed to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Banihal, from where he was later referred to GMC Anantnag for specialized treatment.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Banihal Police Station and investigation started.
