SAMBA, Aug 25: Samba police arrested a bootlegger and recovered 30 bottles of illicit liquor in the jurisdiction of Police Station, Ramgarh today.
As per reports, a police party of PS Ramgarh laid a strong vehicle checking naka at Chak Salarian, Ramgarh and intercepted motorcycle bearing Registration Number JK21B-9616 which was coming from Vijaypur side and moving towards Ramgarh.
While checking the motorcyclist, a total of 30 bottles of JK Special Whisky of 180 ml each were recovered. The accused person identified as Amit Mehra, S/o Sukhdev. Raj R/o Abtal Ramgarh, who was carrying the illicit liquor trade in the area for his illegitimate profit has been arrested on spot and illicit liquor was also seized.
The accused has been booked under Section 107/151/110 Cr.PC at P/S Ramgarh.
