JAMMU, Aug 27: In order to make taxpayers conversant with Faceless Assessment Scheme and Taxpayers’ Charter and to put across the message of “Transparent Taxation: Honoring the Honest” announced by the Prime Minister, a series of webinars were conducted by the Additional Commissioner of Income Tax Range Srinagar.
The webinars conducted under the guidance of Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Amritsar and Principal Commissioner of Income Tax Jammu were attended by the office bearers and members of various stakeholder organizations including the Kashmir Income Tax Bar Association, Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industries, J&K Economic Federation Srinagar and Traders Federation Anantnag and Sopore besides some prominent citizens of the valley.
The benefits of Faceless Assessment Scheme and the creation of new Principal Commissionerate Charge Srinagar were discussed during the webinars. The discussions focused on the working of the Faceless Assessment Units and the residual charges which are effective from August 13, 2020.
