Ex-MLA demands relief for Gulabgarh rain victims

REASI, Aug 30: Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP), senior leader and Ex-MLA Gulabgarh Assembly constituency, Mumtaz Ahmed Khan has demanded adequate compensation to the people who suffered losses of lives, cattles and property in heavy rains.
In a statement to the press, the Ex-MLA said that the rains have caused extensive damages to the lives, cattles, live-stocks and property of the people in Gulabgarh.
“The civil administration should conduct assessment of the damages and give adequate compensation to the people who suffered losses due to the inclement weather conditions,” Mumtaz demanded.
The Ex-MLA said that the `Dhoks’ have also suffered damages in which the poor nomads have lost shelters. “The administration should help them financially to reconstruct the shelters in Dhoks of the area and compensate them for the losses of cattles and livestock,” he demanded.
Mumtaz expressed sympathies with the families of the deceased people who lost their loved ones in the heavy rains an floods . He hoped that the administration will help the aggrieved people financially in the shape of compensation/relief and ensure the department concerned will support them to rebuild their damaged homes.
