JAMMU, Apr 21: More KP organizations have condemned the statement of Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde and they said that the statement is not only unfortunate but was based on ignorance of the Minister.
In his statement Kashmir Pandit Conference (KPC) chief Kundan Kashmiri said that it is not known what Mr Shinde actually wanted to say. He said the KPs have not been given any package till date and had the Shiv Sena and Hindu Samrat  Bal Thackeray not come to their rescue in 1990 after they were forced to flee from Kashmir by militants due to wrong policies of Congress that ruled country since 1947, the entire community would have vanished by now.
He said the community owes a lot to the Sena for coming to its rescue by reserving seats in professional colleges of Maharashtra for the community youth to stand upon their legs.
He said the statement of Home Minister is a calculated move of the Congress based on appeasement policy towards the separatists who have waged a war against the nation.
Kashmir Samiti Delhi (KSD) while expressing its surprise over the statement of Union Home Minister urged the Government of India as well as Congress Party to clear their stand on Pandits.
The KSD president Rakesh Kaul who convened an emergency meeting of the organization in Union Capital today said the statement of Mr Shinde has hurt the sentiments of KPs all over the globe as the same has come in a bad taste.
The Home Minister has insulted a peace loving and patriotic community. It can’t be tolerated as the same has been very callous. By making such a statement against the victims of Pak sponsored terrorism, Mr Shinde has lowered the dignity of Home Ministry, it added.
ASKPC Political Affairs Committee in its meeting under the leadership of H L Chatta strongly condemned the statement and termed his utterances about the community a brazen lie. By making such a statement Congress has come into its true colours, it added.
The meeting said the people like Mr Shinde think that by providing a meager amount of cash doles to few displaced families their problems are over.
It reminded Mr Shinde that Pandits have lost property worth thousands crores of rupees besides hundreds of their members were killed by terrorists due to wrong policies of Congress Government at Centre.
The ASKPC said Mr Shinde is in habit of giving controversial statements for which the Congress has to pay dearly in the coming elections.
