UDHAMPUR, Apr 21: MLA Udhampur, Balwant Singh Mankotia kick started black-toping work on internal roads of historical village Jaganoo in presence of local Sarpanchs and Panchs, here today.
The MLA also inaugurated two lane drains at village Bhagpur of Panchayat Jaganoo.
Later-on, Mr Mankotia held Public Darbar at Jaganoo in presence of officers of different departments including PHE, PDD, PWD, Rural Development, I&FC and Health etc.
The local public unanimously demanded establishment of the Polytechnic building at proposed location at Jaganoo at the land which has already been finalized for the construction of the same.
Mankotia assured the people that the building would be constructed on proposed place on any cost at an earliest.
While addressing the gathering MLA Udhampur further said that on going water supply scheme of village Jaganoo will be inaugurated in next month which will be completed with an estimated cost of Rs 2.40 crore, adding that the scheme will benefit more than 15 villages.
He directed the PHE officers for laying water pipes to uncovered areas including Marore, Ser, Bhagpur, Peepal, Trilla, Lote etc.
Mankotia also announced Rs 1 lakh for construction of lane drain at Jaganoo, Rs 50,000 for completion of community hall and Rs 2,50,000 for Raj Kumar Memorial Gate at entrance of Jaganoo out of his Constituency Development Funds scheme.
Prominent among others who spoke on the occasion were Sudesh Sharma, district president, Sanjeet Sharma, vice president, Shanker Singh chairman, Kamlu Ram Sarpanch, Nambardar Ravinder Khajuria, Jatinder Kumar, Panch Kuldeep Sharma and Panch Ganesh Kumar.
