MPDA demands repairing of roads, removal of garbage

JAMMU, Apr 21: A meeting of the senior executives of Motor Parts Dealers Association, Transport Nagar, Jammu, was held under the chairmanship of S Balbir Singh Sethi, wherein in the Association demanded repairing of roads, sub roads, lanes, drains, removal of encroachment and clearance of garbage dump from Transport Nagar and adjoining area.
The members said that no concrete action has been taken by JMC/JDA as promised by the Minister for Housing and Urban Development last month in the presence of Vice Chairman JDA, Commissioner JMC and Health Officer.
The meeting further said that Transport Nagar is divided in 7 yards comprising of about 30 blocks and needs immediate attention in respect of drive against encroachers strictly and maintenance.
The meeting among others was attended by the Association president Nishikant Khajuria, its senior vice president S Mohinder Pal Singh, besides vice chairman Anmol Rattan Sethi, Rajinder Prasad Kakkar, vice president Manoj Sharma and Sham Singh Bhau.
