POONCH, Sept 4: While launching special drive to remove traffic congestion in Mendhar town, the police today cracked down on illegal parking and flattened the tyres of many vehicles.
The police party led by SHO Mendhar under the supervision of SDPO, Neeraj Padyar today launched special operation , flattened tyres of many vehicles and issued warning to many people and owners of the commercial establishment to avoid wrong parking of their own and also the customers.
SDPO said that police will initiate action against the business establishments encouraging illegal parking in front of their shops in the town. He said the illegal parking of vehicles in the main town was endangering lives of citizens and had become a major source of traffic congestion.
During special drive scores of vehicles were also lifted and their tyres flattened. The police teams had also tiff with some people during operation.
