JAMMU, Sept 5:Prominent Punjabi writers and scholars of J&K UT under the banner of Punjabi Lekhak Sangh (regd) Jammu Sahit Sabha, Srinagar and Punjabi Sahitak Sabha , R S Pura today protested against the proposed J&K official languages Bill 2020 recently approved by Central Cabinet.
Peaceful protest by writers demonstrated at Punjabi Bhawan premises at Rani Talab, here. A memorandum in this regard has also been sent to Prime Minister demanding reviewing of the Bill and inclusion of Punjabi language in panel of official languages of J&K.
Those who participated included Kawal Kashmiri, Shromani Sahitkar , Dr Manoj, Ajit Singh Mastana, H S Uppal, Devinder Singh Vishavnagarik, Dr Baljit Singh Raina, Vikram Singh Vicky and others.
