JAMMU, Sept 5: Akhnoor police arrested a bootlegger and two drug peddlers.
As per police sources, during patrolling a team from Akhnoor Police Station intercepted a man at Sohal, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 54 quarters of illicit liquor from the possession of the man and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Charan Dass, son of Mangat Ram, a resident of Badgal Tehsil Akhnoor District Jammu.
Meanwhile, a team from Akhnoor Police Station apprehended two drug peddlers along with around 200 grams cannabis. The scooty on which they were riding on has been seized.
The arrested persons were identified as Roshan Lal and Vikas, both residents of Akhnoor.
