SRINAGAR, Sept 8: Khalil Ahmad Choudhary, Principal District & Sessions Judge (Chairman DLSA) Anantnag along with K.K. Sidha, District Development Commissioner Anantnag and Rafia Hassan Khaki, Secretary DLSA Anantnag visited District Jail to hold Under Trial Review Committee meeting and to take stock of facilities available for inmates and also to review the working of legal aid clinic.
The UTRC meeting was attended by Superintendent District Jail and Retainer Lawyer District Jail Anantnag Adv. Zubair Ashraf. Detailed report has been separately prepared in this regard.
The Chairman DLSA and DDC interacted with the inmates and took feedback about their greviances. On spot directions were passed to BMO Mattan and E.O. Municipal Committee with regard to addressing medical needs and cleanliness issues and officials of PHE were asked to provide pure drinking water facility to the jail.
The inmates were also assured that other issues raised by them would be taken up with the concerned authorities.
The Chairman DLSA and Secretary DLSA Anantag also reviewed the working of Legal Aid Clinic. Retainer Lawyer Adv. Zubair and PLV Khursheed Ah. Were present there. They are providing their services to the inmates.
