One dies, 7 injured in road mishaps

SRINAGAR, Apr 22: One person died and seven others including two kids were injured in various road accidents across the Kashmir valley today.
Police spokesperson said a Xylo bearing registration number JK05B/4106 hit and injured two pedestrian Mohammed Subhan Sheikh son of Abdul Ahad resident of Lawaypora Srinagar, and Mymoona Begum wife of Ghulam Mohammed Yatoo resident of Lawaypora Srinagar near Lawaypora, Srinagar. Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. However, Mohammed Subhan Sheikh succumbed to his injuries. A case has been registered in this regard.
A Santro car bearing registration number JK09/9033 hit a Scooty without number plate at village Hanjishat, Handwara, resulting in injuries to the Scooty driver Fayaz Ahmad Wani son of Abdul Ahad resident of Yaroo and his wife and two kids riding on the Scooty. All the injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
A Santro bearing registration number HR5IH/9603 hit a Motorcycle bearing registration number JK13B/8353, driven by Mohammed Ashraf Dar son of Abdul Rehman resident of Tulkhan near Eidgah Bijbehara, Anantnag, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist. The injured has been shifted to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
An unidentified Maruti car hit and injured a pedestrian Ghulam Mohammed Matta son of Abdul Rehman resident of Habib Colony, Bagaat at Chinar Colony Hyderpora, Srinagar. The injured has been shifted to Bone and Joint Hospital Srinagar for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
